Hi folks, today I have for you one very nice robot video. On these videos you can see just perfect robot fish that moves really smooth and realistic and I think if it had better skin it would be pretty hard to recognize that it is not real fish. Check these vids out, I would like to have this fish in my aquarium, it might not have any use, but it just looks cool!

Grasshopper robot sets new world record

Hi everyone, you have probably noticed this message in news if you are interested in robots. This small "grasshopper" robot weights just 7 grams and it can jump 1.4 meters straight up. What does it mean? Well, it means that it can jump on so long distance that is equal its height x 27. That is really amazing, because it also needs only very small amount of energy (it can make 320!! jumps with just one battery) to make that huge jump. Another big advantage of this kind of movement is that by jumping robot can move in very rough terrain and it is very good platform for small sensor and can be used for example for recognition of other planets. "These tiny jumping robots could be fitted with solar cells to recharge between jumps and deployed in swarms for extended exploration of remote areas on Earth or on other planets." says profesor from EPFL Dario Floreano. Imagine how great will look huge swarm of grasshoper robots jumping thru the huge plains of Mars..
This robot was developed by researchers from the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems at EPFL (École polytechnique Fédérale de Laussane). The way this robot performs jumps was inspired by animals like grasshoper or frog that accumulates energy very slowly and releases it very quickly. Pleo - robotic pet dinosaur

Have you ever wanted to have little robotic pet dinosaur? Now you can have this perfect robot Pleo from Ugobe. It was created by co-creator of the famous Furby toy. What is really interesting about this robot, is that it can learn from its experiences and environment. Maybe the cost is little bit too high, I don't know if would give 350$ for toy, even it is very sophisticated. Check out this video, Pleo bahaves really very naturally.

Albert Einstein robot

This robot has really great realistic face. It is probably the most realistic human face on robot I have ever seen and it is definetely much more realistic than the female robot's face of Actroid DER 2. Looks really very good and I'm sure that within few years there will be robots with so realistic artificial faces that no one will be able to see the difference between them and real people.
